Last huddle, Newport Harbor FCA student president, Michelle, stood before her peers and shared the ups and downs of the rollercoaster ride she had been enduring for the past few months. Like most seniors, Michelle had been preoccupied with trying to figure out her future as she anticipated the end of high school and beginning of her college years.
Michelle was fairly certain she had picked out the college of her dreams, and was working hard to make those dreams a reality, until she felt God gently nudge her in a different direction. At first, she resisted this prompting, clinging to what she wanted instead of listening to God’s voice calling her elsewhere. And yet, Michelle eventually decided that, if she truly believes that God loves her and wants the best for her, then she can trust him with everything- even her future.
After committing to trusting God’s plan for her, Michelle was able to release her old dream and embrace the new path God had placed before her. Michelle excitedly explained that she now realizes that God was guiding her all along and that she cannot wait for all that next years holds.
She encouraged the students to trust God in every circumstance in their life because he loves them and wants what is best for them.
