Corona del Mar wrestling coach Seth Seneca visited huddle to challenge the students to persevere when obstacles follow opportunity. Seth explained that, throughout his wrestling career, it seemed like every new open door also led him into a season of hardship. But while these hardships were frustrating at first, they actually served as the catalyst for his development as an athlete and the cultivation of his character.
Reflecting on his past, Seth observed that the obstacles he encountered were just as important as the opportunities he embraced. He reminded the students that anything worth pursuing will inevitably invite challenges, but God will use those challenges for good. Closing with Galatians 6:9, Seth encouraged the students, “let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
